Who should not use this plan without clinical supervision

  • Type 1 or type 2 diabetes, especially if you take insulin.
  • A history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, or thyroid cancer. Or a family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2.
  • Significant cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, gastrointestinal, or endocrine disease.
  • Current treatment with medications that affect appetite, blood glucose, or gastric motility.
  • Any other significant medical condition that affects diet, physical activity, or weight.
